Vision and philosophy of the IFEN

Neurofeedback is a rapidly developing field in medicine. This method has been around for about 50 years, but it is still far too little known. Neurofeedback continue to offer unimagined opportunities and possibilities for our entire healthcare system.

These new incentives are urgently needed because our healthcare systems are facing an unprecedented challenge that affects the well-being of millions of people. However, this requires methods that relieve the burden on the system and prevent cost developments so that the system does not collapse or end up with a two-tier healthcare system.

The modern and scientifically based NeurofeedbackThe therapy method, as taught by the IFEN method, founded by Thomas Feiner, for over 12 years, has already helped thousands of patients suffering from life-threatening and debilitating illnesses. It helps people living in conditions where their suffering is a significant burden and a threat to their own health, even for their loved ones. We know the method works. Almost daily, we receive messages from enthusiastic therapists who have achieved outstanding therapeutic success with the IFEN method.

Thomas Feiner, Director of the Institute for EEG-Neurofeedback

When I started with the Neurofeedback I was one of the first Neurofeedbacktherapists in Germany, and the first in my hometown of Regensburg. After that, I moved to Munich, where there are also very few skilled Neurofeedbacktherapists. This fact puzzled me. Why is a method that is so effective so little known?

I therefore see it as my task Neurofeedback to promote, inform and support Neurofeedback Only a good and thorough education, with continuous training and further education, can ensure that Neurofeedback can be established permanently and benefit a broad public.

We want to continue pursuing this goal together with the people who accompany and support us in training and research. And we are proud of this. Thanks to our participation, hundreds of therapists have been able to earn a living with Neurofeedback whose good reputation has become an example for others. The Institute for EEG-Neurofeedback, of which I have been director for more than 12 years, is a basis on which we pursue this goal together with people all over the world.

Our mission is to promote standards in education, support scientists and advance our own innovations through the IFEN Neuroscience Lab. Ultimately, it is an effort to provide a happier life for those who have been dealt the worse hand.

The "IFEN Concept" Modern Neurofeedback

Every client is unique – every brain is different. We know how important individually tailored and holistic treatment for therapy. This is the only way to ensure rapid and lasting therapeutic success.

We offer numerous benefits for our trainees and therapists that are unique in Germany:

  • Always up to date – Scientificity is our top priority. We base the content of our courses exclusively on current, well-founded research and studies as well as many years of knowledge. We also work closely with international universities.
  • Always hands-on – Practice is very important at IFEN. The certificate is only awarded to those who can demonstrate sufficient experience through an internship and supervision with a personal mentor.
  • Closeness to people – Our lecturers are not just technicians, but therapists and doctors who care about people’s well-being and health.
  • Reliable support – Our experienced Neurofeedback-Experts available online and by phone.
  • Inclusive community – No one is alone in the IFEN family. Our friendly community welcomes anyone who needs help and seeks advice.
  • Large selection – Our wide range of training courses offers something for everyone. We are supported in the Workshopby international experts. Quantitative EEG is one of our most important areas of expertise.

About Maria Donaire

Maria is originally from Spain. She studied psychology at the University of the Balearic Islands. Fascinated by neuroscience and marketing, she decided to specialize in neuromarketing and consumer psychology to understand the brain structures that influence purchasing behavior. Her master's thesis focused on studying the emotional variables that influence the performance of employees and customers of a hotel chain, as well as the elements necessary to improve the website's functionality. Afterward, Maria packed her bags and began working on the EEG-NeurofeedbackInstitute in Munich and was able to put her knowledge into practice in a completely new country. She is currently pursuing further training in digital marketing and is responsible for administration, customer service, customer support, and the creation of marketing campaigns at IFEN.
