MODULE 1 - Certified Neurofeedback-Therapist (40 units)
Your first step to becoming certified Neurofeedback-Therapist IFEN will guide you through our MODUL 1.
This is a 5-day intensive course, the 40 teaching units (UE) Here you will be introduced to the basics of Neurofeedbacks introduced: among other things, the history and origins of biofeedback, neurophysiology, areas of application as well as taking an EEG and its evaluation.
In addition, many Funding Opportunities is available for storage, management and analysis.
The theoretical part will take place online on May 18th and 19th. The second part of the course, which focuses on practical application, will then take place in Berlin on May 28nd, 29rd and 30th.
What is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback It is one of the most innovative methods in the field of neuropsychology and utilizes one of the oldest aspects of human medicine—the power of self-healing. During feedback, the brain "recognizes" its own processes and can thus regulate itself.
This method is used primarily for conditions such as ADHD, learning disabilities, depression, epilepsy, autism, tinnitus, chronic pain, stress, and many more. For many practices, Neurofeedback has become a valuable asset. The leading Association of Scientific Medical Societies recommends Neurofeedback for the treatment of AD(H)D even in their guidelines.
Equipment during the course
Please note that all necessary Neurofeedback-Devices (BrainMaster Atlantis or Discovery with BrainAvatar software) during the practical part of the course be made available on site.
You need to make do not bring your own deviceto participate in the course.

Day 1

- Introduction to quantitative EEG using standard value methods
- Recording brain waves made easy – international positioning system
- What is a Neurofeedback-Protocol?
- Basics of ADHD treatment with classical and individualized protocols
- Practice and self-experience of SMR-Beta and Z-values-Training
Day 3

- Neurofeedback-Protocols with examples
- Practice: Practicing the NF-Trainings using database and Z-value protocols
- Simple one- to four-channel EEG assessments
- Exercises with the Z-value protocols
Day 4

- Practicing four-channel Neurofeedbacktraining with databases
- Evaluation of treatment outcome
- Symptom and performance characteristics in the EEG

Day 5
- Standardized database training: individual approach – possibilities and limitations

Technical requirements ONLINE Workshop
- Stable internet connection
- PC or laptop with Windows 10/11: Use during Workshopan additional device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, desktop computer) or two monitors: one for the Zoom meeting and another for the Neurofeedback-TrainingThis allows you to follow the Zoom meeting on one monitor and immediately apply what you've learned on the second monitor. This makes your learning experience during the practical part more comfortable and successful.
- Neurofeedback-Equipment: BrainMaster Atlantis or Discovery with BrainAvatar software. If you need assistance in purchasing the necessary equipment, please contact the IFEN team info@neurofeedback-info.deIf you do not have a suitable EEG device, we can Neurofeedbackprovide equipment on loan. There are only a limited number of units available, so please contact us as early as possible.

What requirements do I need to meet for the training and job?
The training to become a certified NeurofeedbackTherapists require medical knowledge. You can only work as a therapist in the clinical field if you also have a medical background. Of course, as a naturopath, you can also Neurofeedback exercise.
