Quantitative EEG (QEEG) and ERPs (Event Related Potentials)
with Prof Chiarenza, Dr Garner and Thomas Feiner
Although the EEG has long been providing physicians with important information about severe disorders, such as Epilepsy or head injuries, even the best diagnostician eventually reaches his or her limits: Even with the naked eye, one will not be able to recognize more complex mental conditions such as depression or AD(H)D in a raw EEG.
The Quantitative EEG (QEEG) can help out with these issues. Thanks to state-of-the-art data processing through EEG database comparisons, dysregulations in the brain can be made visible using a brain map. Thus, a diagnostician has significantly more information to work with – this brings the biological basis for autism, stress, diseases or learning disorders in the brain to the foreground.
Similar to measuring blood pressure, there is a similiar kind of standardized data for the brain, which can reliably be used to determine unfavorable brain activity. Physicians can then assign these biomarkers to specific symptoms or diseases.
The Institute for EEG Neurofeedback has been providing QEEG courses for 10 years now and has been able to captivate many physicians and neurofeedback therapists with this methodology.
We have the honor to announce the renowned Italian doctor and scientist Prof Guiseppe Chiarenza again as one of our lecturers. Currently, Prof Chiarenza is president of the International Center for Learning, Attention and Hyperactivity Disorders (CIDAAI). He has taught at the University of Milan and the Catholic University, Piacenza branch, Faculty of Education and is founder and president of the Italian Society of Psychophysiology.
We are very pleased to welcome Dr med Christoph Garner as our additional lecturer for this QEEG course. Dr Garner, who was a senior consultant at the KWA-Klinik Stift Rottal for a long time, will lead the first day of the workshop. He also enjoys an excellent reputation as a mediator between classical medicine and alternative methods.
You will also have the unique opportunity to experience this workshop live, via remote stream.
