The basis of the QEEG (quantitative electroencephalography) is EEG data of the client's raw EEG, which helps to gain important insights into disorders, symptoms and afflictions. The quantitative EEG is the centre of the entire course of therapy and is invaluable to any clinician when it comes to developing more accurate and therefore more efficient protocols.
Not all QEEGs are recorded with 19-channel devices. Today, there are also very good and cheaper alternatives that allow users of a 2- or 4-channel device to create meaningful QEEGs. Therefore it does not matter which equipment you attend this course with.
In order to practise, each participant will receive a software set that is free of charge. There is sufficient equipment available for practising.
If you happen to buy equipment from us, we will take care of the installation and setup of the hardware and software during the seminar.
The Clinical Q is not only a powerful evaluation tool for the everyday neurofeedback practice.
By Dr. Swingle developed Clinical Q differs in several ways from a complete QEEG brain map. Clinical Q uses only one channel to collect amplitude data on 5 EEG leads in 6 minutes. Clinical Q has no connectivity data for pairs of recording locations.
The results of Clinical Q are then compared to a clinical database, rather than general population norms, as in QEEGs. Dr. Swingle has taken the data from 700 clients who have visited his clinic due to psychological or health problems. He ascertained that 23 EEG values, ratios, or totals are statistically significant markings for certain symptoms.
The participants will receive a certificate of the successful workshop participation.
